Portland, Oregon, is known for many things: great food carts, a fierce love of bicycling, putting a bird on it, keeping it weird; and now putting up 100 positive messages on billboards, bus shelters and buildings. The Joy Team launched an outdoor ad campaign for happiness in April 2010 and, with the support of local businesses, has been putting up inspiring and optimistic messages ever since. On January 5th at 9:00 AM, the 100th positive message went up on a billboard in Portland on the corner of NE Weidler and 1st Ave. KGW was there to capture the moment.
